Oozeball is an annual mud volleyball tournament held on the campus of The University of West Alabama to benefit the West Alabama chapter of the American Red Cross.

In the fall of 1997, two students at UWA began devising ideas for community service projects for their fraternity. They arrived at a mud volleyball contest, to be held the following spring. The first annual Oozeball was a respectable success, bringing in some $400 for the Red Cross.  Each year, the event has steadily increased in popularity, and last year, over 200 students attended Oozeball, raising over $500 for charity. In addition, sixteen local businesses donated their support to Oozeball. With the support of The University of West Alabama and the city of Livingston, Alabama, Oozeball is truly a community-wide effort.

Each year, the American Red Cross helps thousands of people in need. Now, the need for the Red Cross is more pressing than ever, and Sigma Pi Fraternity is stepping up to help. Oozeball involves months of planning and preparation. The result of which is a day of good clean fun (ok, not so clean:). Sigma Pi Fraternity is committed to making the 7th Annual Oozeball the most successful yet.
